Chapter 59
Bald Patches
This woman held a grudge like no other, giving no quarter.
And just like that, A Lin and A Tao’s affair was exposed. A Qin and A Lin’s relationship was doomed, A Tao’s reputation was in tatters—none of them would ever find a spouse. All three were done for.
Realizing this, the way people looked at Lin Nannan changed.
This was exactly the outcome Lin Nannan wanted. She never sought trouble, but she wasn’t about to put up with people always eyeing her. So, she showed them just how ruthless she could be—so next time, they’d know to keep their distance.
She didn’t care about the two women yanking out each other’s hair, leaving bald spots. Happily, she went on her way to the fields. Not that anyone would dare stop her now anyway. Everyone’s attention was fixed on A Qin and A Tao, who were fighting with all their might, holding nothing back...
The ruckus drew a crowd in no time. Several strong women finally managed to pull the two apart after a long struggle.
“Good heavens!” Gasps rang out as everyone took in their disheveled states.
A Tao’s clothes were torn, her shoulder half-exposed, her long hair ripped out in patches. Blood streaked her forehead, revealing bald spots that looked horrifying. A Qin looked just as bad—her sleeve had been torn off at the shoulder, her clothes frayed into tatters. Her face was swollen, and more than half her hair was gone, leaving her scalp patchy like she had mange—pitiful and ridiculous at the same time.
“Tsk!” Women who’d missed the fight sucked in a breath. The two were in a truly wretched state.
“What the hell were you two fighting over?” someone asked, baffled.
Even if there was conflict, it shouldn’t have escalated to this.
A Tao and A Qin glared at each other with pure hatred, neither speaking.
But many had heard Lin Nannan’s earlier words, and soon whispers spread, revealing the tangled love-hate drama between them and A Lin. Everyone’s eyes turned to A Lin, standing there untouched, coolly watching—disdain filled their gazes.
Two women had fought over him, yet he hadn’t lifted a finger. What a jerk.
“If he’d stepped in, at least they wouldn’t have hurt each other so badly. But no, he just stood there enjoying the show. Face it, he doesn’t give a damn about either of them—just himself,” someone observed sharply.
A Qin and A Tao both flashed with fury at these words...
A Lin, meeting their resentful glares, flinched and quickly defended himself, “You two were fighting so viciously! I tried to stop you, but you wouldn’t listen! Besides, it was Lin Nannan who said all that—are you really going to believe a fool?”
“Ha!” A Qin scoffed. “A Lin, forget calling Lin Nannan a fool—you’re the one playing *me* for a fool!”
You even knew about the mole on A Tao’s ass, and you still had the nerve to lie to me? Did you think I was an idiot?
A Lin opened his mouth to argue, but A Tao cut him off.
“A Lin, are you abandoning me?” she demanded bluntly.
A Qin, enraged, slapped her. “Have you no shame? He’s married!”
“We knew each other first!” A Tao insisted through gritted teeth.
The fight turned into a shouting match, each side convinced of their own righteousness, stirring up the entire village.
Meanwhile, the Lu family, unhurriedly making their way to the fields, learned that this mess involved Lin Nannan. They just shook their heads—this girl had no fear!
