Chapter 035: Inter-server Chat [To Be Revised]
Maybe it was because Jin Yu wasn't there the last time Li Siwan drank with Chen Keyue and the others that he let his guard down.
Li Siwan vaguely recalled that Jin Yu seemed to get along well with Chen Keyue. And sure enough, when he arrived today, Jin Yu was already there.
It was only later that he overheard others mentioning that Jin Yu had actually been present the night Li Siwan had accidentally entered the wrong room for the first time.
However, Jin Yu had left early that night due to other matters, which was why he hadn’t run into Li Siwan.
Li Siwan guessed that Jin Yu hadn’t left because of something else, but because of a migraine, though he didn’t show it.
"We’ve met before," Li Siwan said with a polite smile, and after explaining to the others, he nodded at the man with an inscrutable expression sitting in the booth, "Senior Jin Yu."
The crowd got excited and started cheering for some odd reason when they heard the greeting.
Li Siwan: “……”
No matter how many years passed, these people never changed!
"Hey, hey, what are you all doing? Stop teasing them," Chen Keyue said, even though he had been bickering with Li Siwan the whole way there. He still stepped in to help him out.
"Su Xu asked me to keep an eye on him. Cut the crap, guys."
The former math rep smirked and winked, "Is that it? Are you playing dumb or what?"
"Tsk, it’s his first time here. Don’t scare him with nonsense," Chen Keyue said as he guided Li Siwan deeper into the booth, "Sit next to that quiet guy who just drinks and doesn’t talk. That way you won’t have to argue with them 1v5."
"Hey, what kind of talk is that? Trying to stir up trouble, huh?" Another young man threw his arm over Chen Keyue’s shoulder, and the two started horsing around, squeezing Li Siwan to the inside.
Li Siwan almost fell right into Jin Yu. He sat down with a stiff, expressionless face, silent as a monk.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to get along with Jin Yu; the other man’s face practically screamed 'keep your distance.'
He had already been misunderstood by Jin Yu before, and Jin Yu likely saw the scene at the banquet too. Now, the misunderstanding only seemed to deepen. It was already good that Jin Yu didn’t call him out on the spot, so Li Siwan didn’t dare to hope for any chance of reconciliation.
But being treated coldly, especially by someone important to him, left Li Siwan feeling pretty low.
"Hey, Siwan, what would you like to drink?" The young man sitting across from him asked.
"I…" Before Li Siwan could finish, the man who had drunk with him before chimed in, as if claiming credit.
"Get the junior some baijiu!"
Hearing this, the people around them let out surprised cheers.
"Didn’t expect the junior to be so capable of drinking."
"Junior, you’re really something! Nice one."
Chen Keyue, who had been bantering with the others, stepped in to explain for Li Siwan. "Cut it out, don’t force him. If you get him drunk, I’ll be hunted down by Su Xu. This guy is allergic to grapes, wheat, and even lactose. Stick to plain liquor for him."
Chen Keyue really did take good care of Li Siwan, and as a doctor, his memory was indeed excellent. He had even memorized several of Li Siwan’s common allergens.
But to the others, this explanation sounded different.
"Dude, why do you remember all that so clearly? Is it because 'a friend’s wife is off-limits'?"
To everyone’s surprise, someone actually made a joke with such a bold innuendo, causing the crowd to burst into laughter and cheers, one wave after another.
"Bro, I'm begging you, if you're gonna die, don't drag me down with you. You believe me? I'll record you and send it to Su Xu."
"Hey! That's not cool, man. It was just a joke, right? You juniors don't take things so seriously, do you?" The guy who had just made the inappropriate joke about a friend's wife poked his head toward Li Siwan, as if he really needed to hear Li Siwan say he didn't mind.
Li Siwan knew exactly what kind of shameless bunch these guys were. Besides, they had arrived late, and everyone else had already had a round of drinks. Under the influence of alcohol, they were much bolder than usual, and in this noisy environment, they naturally dared to say anything.
He personally wouldn't get angry over something like this. After all, to Li Siwan, these people were his old classmates he had known for years. He wouldn't be too sensitive even if the jokes went a bit far.
Back in school, he'd heard way worse from them, and he never took it seriously.
"Alright, I told you to go easy on the drinks. You insisted on having some 'water of life.' If you start acting crazy from the alcohol, I'll have to drag you out."
One of Li Siwan's drinking buddies, who liked him, stepped in to smooth things over, giving everyone an out.
"Exactly, drunk. Get lost. Your boozy breath is killing me." Chen Keyue grabbed the guy and tossed him aside.
The guy didn't get mad about being thrown out, though he did seem a bit drunk. He smiled and waved at Li Siwan. "Junior, chill. I was totally kidding. I'll punish myself with three cups to apologize!"
Li Siwan was truly done with these drunkards.
"I'm not mad. No need for three cups. Let's just toast." Li Siwan wasn't being fussy, but as he scanned the drinks on the table, almost all of them were things he couldn't drink, so he had to settle for a soft drink.
"Ahem, my drink hasn't arrived yet, so I'll use this for now. Hope you don't mind."
"Of course, I don't mind. Hey, junior, you have a really good temper. As long as you're not mad at your senior, we're good. It was just a joke, don't take it to heart. I'll finish this cup." The young man said sincerely and actually drank the small cup of alcohol.
With that settled, the mood lightened up, and the little incident was quickly forgotten as the conversation resumed.
Li Siwan's handling of the situation had won people over. Those who had been observing his personality now had a good impression of him, and soon people were coming over with their glasses to chat with him.
Thanks to the system hack, Li Siwan's personality was basically irresistible. Although everyone present had completely forgotten about Jin Shuyi's existence, when they chatted with Li Siwan, there was an inexplicable sense of familiarity, and they quickly became quite close with him.
Once people got along well, the way they interacted became more casual. At first, they were still polite, just drinking symbolically, but later they would raise their cups and point at each other with their fingers, joking,
"You're barely drinking—what, you think I'm not worth it?"
Then the two would engage in a back-and-forth, drinking more and more, regardless of what the other was drinking. The important thing was to match the intensity, and they'd get more and more excited!
Fortunately, Li Siwan had a good alcohol tolerance, and Chen Keyue really took care of him, secretly diluting Li Siwan's alcohol with water.
Most of the alcohol in Li Siwan's cup was actually mineral water, which tasted a bit off but didn't get him drunk.
The others were too drunk to notice Li Siwan's little cheat, and they weren't staying at the booth all the time. They'd drink, chat, go to the dance floor for a bit, then come back to drink and chat some more, so there wasn't much supervision.
Li Siwan realized that the last time he drank, he had been too honest.
With Chen Keyue helping him cheat, he could probably take on twenty more people!
Since everyone loved him, Li Siwan quickly became the life of the party. Everyone coming back from the dance floor would greet this junior and have a few drinks and chat with him, then invite him to the dance floor.
Li Siwan had never actually been clubbing before, not because he didn't like it, but because when he was a corporate drone, he was exhausted from work every day. The alcohol and socializing took up all his energy, and when he finally had a break, he just wanted to take root in his bed, so he never went to such places.
Honestly, if he had a choice, Li Siwan would rather not drink. It's not just that getting drunk hurts your body; alcohol causes irreversible damage to the brain.
Luckily, after he joined the Book Crossing Bureau, these little issues were fixed. Apart from the inherent flaws in his post-crossing body, his mind now felt sharper than it ever did when it was soaked in alcohol.
Soon, someone invited Li Siwan to the dance floor, and even though Li Siwan said he didn't know how, the other person wasn't surprised.
Li Siwan's face exuded an air of purity and innocence, like the untouchable glow of moonlight, someone who seemed too pure to be in a seedy place like a nightclub.
But the more aloof and unapproachable he appeared, the more people enjoyed seeing him "fall from grace."
The crowd loudly cheered Li Siwan on as he headed to the dance floor, promising to teach him the moves and assuring him that no one would dare laugh at him.
With a few drinks in him, Li Siwan felt brave enough to follow along.
But before even reaching the crowd, he started to regret it.
He felt that, just as Chen Keyue had assessed, he really didn’t fit in with the young people in the dance pool.
What were they even wearing? It was outrageously provocative... Li Siwan was afraid that after making his way through the crowd, he might end up with fewer clothes.
But before he could protest, a few people pulled him in, and he drifted around like seaweed caught in the tide of bodies.
Someone even stepped on his shoes several times!
The overwhelming scent on the dance floor made Li Siwan dizzy, or maybe it was the bone-shaking music that did him in.
He barely lasted ten minutes before the crowd swept him away, leaving him utterly disoriented.
The chaotic energy was truly intoxicating.
But the intoxication wasn’t because he couldn’t stop; it was because others wouldn’t let him stop.
Maybe it was his striking looks, but strangers kept approaching him, dancing close and asking for his number.
Li Siwan had never encountered such a situation before and was frightened after being hit on twice, so he ran away.
If he stayed any longer, he might have been stripped bare.
Clearly, this wild scene wasn’t for someone like him—an "old man."
Having escaped the clutches of the crowd, Li Siwan was still a little shaken.
The club was huge, with multiple entrances, viewing platforms, and private rooms. The dim lighting made it a maze for Li Siwan.
He had gotten separated from his friends and now stood in a corner at the edge of the dance floor, feeling a bit lost.
Unable to find his way back, he vaguely remembered the seat was upstairs but wasn’t sure which specific booth.
Li Siwan started looking for the stairs but instead found the restroom.
He dashed in another direction but hadn’t gone far when he was hit on again.
"Little brother, drinking alone? Want to come sit with us?"
With his relatively short stature and a cold, youthful face, plus his neat clothing, Li Siwan was easily mistaken for a student.
Two or three young men with a bit of a thuggish air blocked Li Siwan's path, one of them even whistling while they spoke.
Even though he knew the place attracted all sorts, Li Siwan couldn’t believe these lowlifes could afford a booth—maybe they’d stolen their dad’s pension to pay for drinks.
Li Siwan didn’t even glance at their booth; he just turned and walked the other way. But these young men didn’t seem to want to let him go. A guy with yellow hair quickly bypassed him and blocked his retreat.
"Oh, little brother, don’t be so shy. Sit down and have a drink with us."
Li Siwan was annoyed by these young thugs. He looked around but couldn’t see any familiar faces. The environment was too dark and noisy, and even if he shouted for help, it would be useless.
Li Siwan took out his phone, just about to call Chen Keyue, when a few little punks snatched it away.
"Come on, come on, we've opened a bottle of champagne over here. Sit down and call your friend over," several people said as they forcibly tried to pull Li Siwan toward the booth.
Li Siwan's face instantly went cold. "Give me back my phone."
"Tsk," the little punk who had grabbed his phone let out a dissatisfied click, but the place was so noisy and chaotic that probably only he could hear it.
"Oh, spicy," another thug, who was about to put his arm around Li Siwan's shoulder, lewdly whistled.
"System, can the taekwondo skills I learned in the last world be used here?" Li Siwan was already planning to cheat in his mind.
"I'm sorry, host, but this body does not have a taekwondo skill set, so you cannot use the skills from the last world. However, you can purchase an experience card," the voice of System 626 echoed in his mind.
Here they go again, trying to get me to spend more!
Li Siwan was a bit speechless, wishing he hadn't come out for air, as it was going to waste his points.
At least the first use only costs one point.
Just as Li Siwan was about to exchange it, he felt his shoulder lighten, and a painful howl rang out beside him.
"Ah! Who!" The thug was jumping in pain, but before he could even retaliate, his hand was clipped behind his back, making him cry out and beg for mercy.
The others around saw the fight and not only were they not afraid, but some even came over to watch the spectacle.
Li Siwan was surprised and wondering who had come to his rescue when he turned his head to see Jin Yu, scowling with disdain, throwing the little punk aside and patting his hands.
The punk felt insulted, but seeing Jin Yu's height, build, and the skill he had just displayed, he knew he couldn't win—they wouldn't stand a chance even if they all ganged up on him.
With no chance of winning in a fight and no chance of competing with his family background, the little punks quickly backed off, slipping away without daring to return to their booth, afraid of being held in contempt.
The others at the booth were just watching the show.
They weren't together with those punks; they had just joined the table temporarily and hadn't even paid, freeloading off the punks' table. Now that the punks had run off, the drinks at the table were theirs, so they called their buddies over to flex.
After all, the seats here require prepayment for drinks, so they weren't afraid of being kicked out.
Jin Yu was probably used to being called to places like this, and although he didn't pursue the fleeing punks, he hadn't made any move yet when Li Siwan suddenly chased after them.
The man frowned slightly. Although he didn't want to get involved, he eventually followed.
The little punks saw Li Siwan chasing after them and, as if seeing a ghost, ran even faster.
Li Siwan: "..."
Li Siwan raised his voice. "My phone!"
Unfortunately, the venue was so noisy, and the punks disappeared like lost dogs in the blink of an eye.
Li Siwan, now phoneless, could only stare blankly: "..."
"...Pfft! I'm sorry, but hahahahahahaha!!!" Chen Keyue laughed so hard he was stomping his feet. "The wooden fish! Quick, give me a knock."
Someone, not sure who, actually threw over a tiny wooden fish, only half the size of a palm.
Chen Keyue laughed as he knocked his knuckles on the table, the sound echoing loudly.
Li Siwan: “…………
He was truly at a loss with this bunch of people!!!
He hadn’t managed to catch up with the guys he was chasing, and in the end, it was Jin Yu who accompanied him back to the booth to ask if anyone knew those punks. By the time they returned, the people sitting there had all changed, and none of them knew anything about the punks.
With no other options left, Li Siwan had to go to the front desk to register. The guy at the front desk, noticing how good-looking Li Siwan was, added, “You shouldn’t count on getting it back. Was there anything important in your phone?”
Li Siwan thought for a moment, “Not really.”
“Then borrow your friend’s phone to log into your accounts and deactivate the SIM card, just in case they try to steal your money.”
The front desk guy seemed quite experienced when it came to losing phones.
Li Siwan rubbed his forehead, thanked him, and turned around to see Jin Yu standing there.
He didn’t dare ask Jin Yu for a new phone, but he could ask Jin Yu to call Chen Keyue.
As it turned out, Chen Keyue was too engrossed in dancing and didn’t pick up. It was Jin Yu who had to go into the dance floor to drag him out.
Honestly, Li Siwan wasn’t sure if Chen Keyue really disliked him.
It wasn’t that he disliked him; when they were alone, Chen Keyue just wouldn’t talk to him.
But it wasn’t like he hated him either; Jin Yu didn’t turn down all his requests.
Maybe it was because of Chen Keyue’s sake?
In any case, Li Siwan couldn’t figure it out, but he had to deal with his phone issue and didn’t have time to think about it.
Someone nearby had a spare phone and, seeing how desperate Li Siwan looked, reset it and handed it over.
Li Siwan didn’t stand on ceremony and accepted it with a grateful thank you. For these guys, who used to have so much allowance in middle school that they could buy over ten phones a month, losing one phone wasn’t a big deal.
The main problem now was that Li Siwan couldn’t remember the passwords for his old accounts. And since his phone number was deactivated and could only be replaced the next day, he couldn’t even log into WeChat.
Li Siwan used Chen Keyue’s WeChat to send a message to Su Xu.
The other side was probably still sleeping and didn’t reply in time.
Oh well, he’d leave it to chance. After all, there wasn’t much money in his account anyway.
“Aren’t you going to let your family know? They might worry if they can’t get in touch with you.”
Li Siwan thought for a moment, “They usually don’t call me at this hour. Telling them would just make them worry.”
Hearing this, someone nearby chimed in, “Let me take a bite of that couple’s moment—your phone’s gone, and the first thing you think of is telling your boyfriend.”
Li Siwan was trying to test out passwords and was confused for a moment before realizing the person was talking about Su Xu.
He clarified, a bit exasperated, “He’s not my boyfriend.”
The people around him immediately perked up, “Oh? So will he be in the future?”
Li Siwan felt his face heat up, “No!”
“Why not? Is it that you don’t have feelings for him, or is he not ready to give you a title?”
Li Siwan finally realized he was being teased, closed his mouth, and sank into the sofa in silence.
The people around laughed again and then raised their glasses to continue drinking and chatting.
Li Siwan had lost his phone, and although it wasn't worth much, he wasn't in the mood to stay. He planned to head back to the hotel, but someone had gotten sick from drinking, and Chen Keyue was currently taking care of them, so he couldn’t spare the time to drive Li Siwan back.
"I'm not a kid, I can find my way back on my own," Li Siwan said, exasperated. He was a grown adult with arms and legs; was he really going to get robbed walking out at night?
"No way, Su Xu specifically told me to make sure I send you back safely. Let me see," Chen Keyue replied, scanning the room before setting his sights on Jin Yu.
"Jin Yu, since you're leaving soon anyway, how about giving him a ride?"
Every time this group went out drinking, there were only two people who rarely got drunk.
One was Jin Yu. Just having him sit there for a while was enough, and no one dared to force him to drink.
The other was Chen Keyue. As a doctor, his presence meant everyone could drink freely, knowing that someone could handle any emergencies.
Now that they were in the latter half of the night, the place was filled with drunk people. If Chen Keyue were to drive Li Siwan back to the hotel, then Jin Yu would be left to take care of all these drunkards.
There was no way Jin Yu would choose to stay.
"Let's go," Jin Yu replied without hesitation. He clearly disliked the scene and was eager for any excuse to leave.
On their way to the parking lot, Li Siwan couldn't resist asking curiously, "You don't dance or drink much, so why do you still come here so often?"
Jin Yu didn't even acknowledge him and headed straight toward his car.
After getting the cold shoulder, Li Siwan kept quiet and simply accepted the ride.
The night scenery sped past the car windows.
They both sat in the back seat of the ordinary sedan, the lack of conversation making the atmosphere feel somewhat awkward.
But Li Siwan wasn't the type to start a conversation. He couldn't understand why Jin Yu seemed to have such a big grudge against him. The last time Jin Yu had a conflict with Su Xu, Li Siwan could tell that Jin Yu had almost thrown a punch but managed to hold back.
The hotel wasn't close to the drinking venue, and the strong aftereffects of the liquor hit Li Siwan. By the time they arrived, he was completely drunk.
Clutching his throbbing head, the ground seemed to spin beneath his feet, making it nearly impossible to find his balance. He almost fell, but Jin Yu grabbed his arm, preventing him from stumbling.
The grip was a bit too strong, and after receiving a cold attitude all night, Li Siwan suddenly got angry.
"You're hurting me!" he cried out, his voice cracking with emotion. A wave of hurt surged through him, overwhelming his senses.
Why was he being treated so harshly? He hadn’t done anything wrong; why did he feel so unwanted?
It felt like raising a puppy for a long time, only for it to suddenly bite him and run away, as if it could never truly bond with him.
Angry, Li Siwan tried to pull away, but Jin Yu held him tighter. In a burst of frustration, he yelled, "Let go! I don’t need you anymore!"
He truly wanted nothing more to do with Jin Yu, but before he could process his feelings, tears began to fall uncontrollably.
They hadn’t even left the car in the parking lot when passersby noticed the scene and stopped to watch.
Even though both men were male, a hotel security guard still came over to check and ensure they knew each other.
"Sorry about this, these two gentlemen are indeed guests at our hotel," the front desk staff naturally noticed the situation as well.
As it happened, the front desk staff on duty that night was the same young woman who had helped Li Siwan when he had mistakenly gone to the wrong room and gotten his key replaced. She recognized both of them and proactively came over to assist.
Although Li Siwan was acting out while drunk, he calmed down a bit when more people showed up. He could barely stand steadily and didn’t want to lean on Jin Yu, nor could he lean on the front desk girl. He ended up standing crookedly, but his head was so dizzy that he almost fell again. In the end, it was Jin Yu who held him up.
The front desk girl swiped the room card open for them. Since both of them had long-term rooms at the hotel, which cost several months of her salary for just one night’s stay, the service was naturally top-notch.
"We have hangover pills at the hotel. I’ll grab some hangover medicine. Can you watch over him in the meantime?"
"No need. I know him. You don’t need to worry about him."
After Jin Yu finished speaking, the front desk girl glanced at Li Siwan, looking somewhat hesitant.
But Li Siwan, who was slouched on the sofa, crossed his arms, looking sullen but confirming that they indeed knew each other. So she didn’t insist further.
"Will the hangover pills still be necessary?"
"No need. I have some in my room."
"Alright, if you need anything, just dial zero and hold it down to reach the front desk," the front desk staff professionally explained before closing the door and leaving.
Li Siwan continued to sulk, and after the front desk left, he angrily said, "You can leave too. You already hate me anyway; I don’t want to see you right now."
At this point, he was just spouting angry words that not even he took seriously.
Jin Yu ignored his deliberate attempts to drive him away and, as if he were in his own room, mixed a cup of honey water for himself, took his own hangover medicine first, and then placed two hangover pills on the table for Li Siwan.
His attitude was clear: if you want to take it, go ahead; if not, that’s your choice.
This infuriated Li Siwan even more, making him want to kick Jin Yu in frustration.
But he knew he didn’t have the right to demand anything from Jin Yu anymore.
From Jin Yu’s perspective, Li Siwan was practically a stranger. It was already more than generous of him to bring Li Siwan back and get him medicine.
For a moment, Li Siwan wanted to just lay everything out and confront Jin Yu, but the system wouldn’t allow him to say anything.
How was it that Su Xu could recognize him, but this blockhead Jin Yu couldn’t see it at all?!
What a waste of effort!
The angrier Li Siwan became, the more he refused to take the medicine, sitting there like an irate pufferfish.
Jin Yu ignored his drunken antics and, having brought everything Li Siwan might need, was about to leave.
"Wait!" Li Siwan’s mind was completely blank, but instinctively, he called out to stop him.
Jin Yu’s patience was wearing thin, and he stood there with his arms crossed, watching to see what other trouble Li Siwan would stir up.
Provoked by this attitude, Li Siwan angrily demanded, "What did I do to make you hate me so much?"
This was something he had wanted to ask for a long time.
At first, it was true that he had accidentally entered Jin Yu’s room, but it wasn’t intentional; it was a complete accident!
Yet Jin Yu had never given him a chance to explain.
Things got even worse later on, like they had some personal vendetta against him, and his attitude toward him kept getting more hostile.
Even if Jin Yu and Su Xu had conflicts, he shouldn’t have taken it out on Jin Yu!
Li Siwan couldn’t understand. He hadn’t dared to think about it carefully before, but today, under the influence of alcohol, he blurted out the question without hesitation.
The person standing not far away was silent for a moment before speaking: “It’s not that I dislike you, it’s just that… I don’t want to deal with you.”
Li Siwan’s brain felt foggy as he stared at Jin Yu, slowly chewing over those words. After a pause, he asked, “Why? Is it because I’m close to Su Xu? What beef do you have with him?”
He wasn’t sure what had happened between the two men during the ten years he was gone.
When Su Xu talked about his life over the past ten years, he never mentioned Jin Yu, as if he was deliberately downplaying the other man’s existence.
“What did he make you do? You don’t get it?” Jin Yu’s expression darkened, as if he had suddenly become angry because of this topic.
Li Siwan was dumbfounded by the counter-question: “He… made me do what?”
His booze-addled brain buzzed for a while without making any sense of it.
The man studied his perplexed expression. Drunk people might spout nonsense, but they often let their true feelings slip.
Li Siwan really didn’t seem to be lying.
Jin Yu glanced around the room’s furnishings.
Although most of it was the hotel’s decor, since Li Siwan had been staying here for a while, there were some personal items.
The arrangement and usage habits of those things were exactly the same as what he remembered of Jin Shuyi.
Su Xu had found this guy and subtly molded him into a copy of Jin Shuyi. That’s what really pissed Jin Yu off.
But this young man, remade into another’s image, seemed completely unaware that he was being treated as a substitute.
Jin Yu let out a soft sigh. “I misunderstood you,” he said.
Li Siwan was completely confused by this sudden and inexplicable apology.
Was this just a drunken hallucination? Had their conversation skipped a part? Why had Jin Yu’s attitude done a complete 180-degree turn toward him?
Li Siwan was completely bewildered, his red-rimmed eyes still wet with tears, his confused gaze making his clear eyes appear a bit silly.
A drunk who’d wander into the wrong room couldn’t possibly outsmart someone as devious as Su Xu.
Jin Yu seemed a bit troubled. He appeared to have indeed implicated an innocent party who was actually a victim.
“Get some rest. If you need anything, call me. I’m staying in the next room tonight.”
Li Siwan was almost speechless at this self-centered person. Next time, he’d definitely raise a brother who could speak more clearly.
“No, I’m dizzy, my brain isn’t working, I’ll talk to you tomorrow.” Li Siwan sighed, grabbing the cup of honey water from the table and taking a sip, puzzled.
Was there really honey in this?
Why couldn’t he taste anything?
Jin Yu, seeing that his drunkenness was wearing off, was about to leave. But before he left, he stopped and added one more thing.
“One last piece of advice.”
Li Siwan, who was just about to get up and add honey to his cup: ?
What kind of crap is this guy spouting now?
If you can't even make honey water, you have no business giving advice!
"Su Xu is not a good person, you’d better not hang out with him too much."
Jin Yu tossed out that sentence and left coldly.
Li Siwan: ………………
You're so good at giving advice, I should crown you 'Loyal Consort!'
In his head, Li Siwan called Jin Yu every name in the book for being such an idiot. He’s still badmouthing Su Xu behind his back, but he couldn’t even recognize his own brother. How embarrassing!
While grumbling, Li Siwan finished the bland-tasting honey water and only then remembered he had forgotten to take the hangover medicine.
But he was too tired to get up and pour more water, planning to lie on the sofa for a bit to let the alcohol wear off a little before getting up to take the medicine.
This rest almost made him fall asleep.
The weight on his heart seemed to have lifted at some point. Even though he didn’t fully understand what happened, at least he knew Jin Yu didn’t really hate him.
He was even worried that Li Siwan wouldn’t be able to take care of himself properly when drunk, so he had stayed the night in the neighboring room.
It’s like being released from the cold palace, barely.
Thinking this, Li Siwan felt a bit better, though his head was still spinning from the booze. He planned to sleep for a little while on the sofa before getting up to freshen up.
Just as he settled down with the pillow, there was a knock on the door.
It was Chen Keyue, back already.
"I told you to grab a keycard, but no, you had to be stubborn..." Li Siwan opened the door, barely getting a look at who was outside before he was shoved into a sack.
Before he could even scream for help, a sharp pain hit the back of his neck, and everything went black as he passed out on the spot.
